What will happen to the Park system in 30 years when most of us old geezers are pushing up daisies? It will either wither away or will be propped up by today’s kids. We need to cultivate in them the same spirit that we all feel. The NPS has created the Junior Ranger Program to facilitate this goal. Booklets are available to help them explore the park with interesting stories. The history and heritage of the park is presented as well as some ideas for kids to help protect the park. 45,000 kids join the Junior Ranger program nationally each year.  WebRangers are a corollary concept that engages kids. They log on and earn points by completing activities. Once they complete all activities, they are given a WebRanger patch. So get your tykes involved. Click <HERE> to learn more and sign up.
