Half Dome – Yosemite Musing

Did you know that the average American watches 5 hours of TV a day! A DAY! So out there is someone who is putting in 9 ½ hours to balance my 30 minutes. For a well spent 30 minutes, tune in to a new show on Pubic Broadcasting Channel KQED 9 and 9HD (SanFrancisco) called OpenRoad with Doug McConnell. You may remember Doug from his long running Bay Area Backroads program. He’s at it again with a similar format offering. All of us Half Dome groupies will get a lift when Doug’s program on  Mon, Apr 20 will feature our favorite monolith: Yosemite On Stone: Climbing Legendary Half Dome. Set your TiVo or VCR for this one. Shows are rebroadcast the following Tuesday at 1:30 am for you shift workers. The plan is roll out the show in other cities this fall. Be sure to also catch the action on the Openroad.tv website.  I really like the Active Adventure Forum – I moderate it!
